Tech Article 5/3

The smartphone design incorporates "Shape Memory Alloy" technology, based on the concept that metals remember their original shapes, expanding and then contracting after use.

While apps like Siri and SayText do offer a good deal of assistance, Sumit Dagar had an idea for a more effective solution: a smartphone that's specifically designed for people who have trouble seeing. The phone, which has yet to be officially named, has a screen comprised of a grid of pins, which move up and down to form into Braille shapes and characters whenever an SMS message or email is received. It uses what's called Shape Memory Alloy technology, so as each pin expands, it remembers and contracts back to its original flat shape. In an interview with the Times of India, Dagar describes the phone as "world's first Braille smartphone ... a companion more than a phone."

New Wiki

My new wiki would be about the history of the New York Mets. There would be a Trivia page, World Series page, Team Records page, Players page, a Meet the Players page, and a Hall of Fame page. There would be about a page of information and more for the history and meet the players. It would be important to update the page every day to make sure the people know what is going on.

Spring Break

Over Spring Break, all I did was baseball. I had a few practices and a few games. We won two and lost two. It was also my dad's birthday, so we celebrated by having a carrot cake and a win! I had a good Spring Break doing what I love, and celebrating with my dad.

Samsung Galaxy S IV
The Galaxy S IV is finally here. But is it really any different? The screen went from 4.8-inches on the S III to a full 5-inches on the S IV, but it actually feels smaller. At 5.46 inches tall, 2.75 wide, and 0.31 thick, it's slightly narrower and thinner than the S III, and just 0.08 inches taller. It's also 0.9 ounces lighter at 4.6 ounces. It's the same basic shape as the S III, though it's a little bit more rectangular.

Tech Article 3/4

The F-22 Raptor is a fighter jet that is displayed at air shows. It is know to be very fast, but also very dangerous. Many of these planes end up crashing and making a huge mess. They crash because of either a pilot who does not know the limits of the plane, or there are mechanical problems. Here is a picture from the Melbourne Air Show from Sunday on the F-22, it is being used like a rocket during the vertical climb.

Back in Time

If I could go back in time, I would go to game six of the 1986 World Series. I would want to go to see Bill Buckner miss the ground ball that let the Mets win the game, and give them a chance for a game seven (where they won). I would be going crazy along with the other 60,000 fans. I would not change anything about that game. Everything was perfect.

The Playstation 4

The Playstation 4 was just announced on Tuesday. It has been seven years since the PS3 came out, so the PS4 is long awaited. Everything looks much better, but it will be the same as the PS3. The PS4, arriving in stores "Holiday 2013," is still very much a PC in terms of guts: an x86 processor, an 8-core combined CPU/GPU, and 8 GB of unified GDDR5 memory.

Do Now 2/19

I would make my class a History of Sports class. I would make the class available at any time of the day. The students would learn about the history of all kinds of sports and gain knowledge about each sport. I would hold it in a classroom dedicated to sport legends. It would have a crowd in the background that makes noise when you move by it. It would feel like you were in a stadium or arena. The students would  do reports on their favorite players and then at the end of the year, do a report on a sport they never knew anything about.

Mio Alpha

Tech Article 2/7

Mio Alpha

The Mio Alpha is a wrist watch that would allow a runner to see their heart rate. This is better than a chest-strap heart rate monitor because it gives you the chance to breathe. The chest-strap monitor would tighten the chest and make you feel uncomfortable. One of the upsides is that you can pair it with your phone and see what your heart rate is, by just looking at your phone.
